Come and relax at Bramwood Cottages, the ideal base for exploring this beautiful part of North Yorkshire. We have an enviable location near the centre of this little market town within easy walking distance of shops, pubs, restaurants and the North Yorkshire Moors Railway Station.
Our cottages were originally the stable block to the main house (hence their names “The Tack Room” and “The Coach House”). They are in a courtyard setting with a gravelled car parking area and a shared garden. We also offer free WiFi.
Pickering is regarded as the gateway to the North York Moors National Park. Dalby Forest, nationally renowned for its cycling and walking trails, is close by. We are also ideally located for visiting many of Yorkshire’s famous coastal resorts, historic market towns, castles, Abbeys, historic houses, theme parks and museums.
There is plenty of information about Pickering and the surrounding area on our town website www.welcometopickering.co.uk
Following the Government's announcement on 23 June 2020 that COVID-19 restrictions are to be eased for accommodation providers we are pleased to confirm that Bramwood Cottages will be open from 6 July 2020.
The safety of guests and staff is always of prime importance to us so we have prepared a COVID-19 Risk Assessment, following Government and UK Hospitality Industry Guidelines . As a result some of our usual services and facilities have had to be changed or withdrawn. Our cleaning procedures have been adapted to be COVID-19 compliant.
If you have already booked a stay in one of our cottages or are thinking of making a booking don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions, either general or specifically about our COVID-19 processes.

How to find us
All main routes into Pickering will bring you to the roundabout (the only one in Pickering!) at the junction of the A169 and the A170. From this roundabout take the A169 (Kirkham Lane) towards Whitby. You will find the entrance to our car park about 100 metres up Kirkham Lane from the roundabout. Look out for our signs on the left hand side of the road but beware, though, as it is a tight turn into the car park off the A169 through an archway between our two stone cottages.
